Xploring Sustainable Tourism with Susan Briggs.

Susan Briggs has worked in tourism marketing for over 30 years and is Director of The Tourism Network and She works with destination organisations and businesses to offer marketing advice, training and support for the tourism industry.

Susan runs two business networks – the North York Moors Tourism Network and Dales Tourism – and is particularly interested in local distinctiveness, sustainability and projects that seek to create a better balance between visitors, businesses, residents and the environment.

In this interview, Susan discusses the importance of 'slow tourism' and, how the 'unofficial voice' of destinations can help increase engagement and communication with visitors.
